Who We Are
Humans Decide
Cimore (pronounced “see more”) is a nonprofit public interest research and social impact organization based in California. We gather real-world experiences from everyday people to establish human choice guidelines for where to – and where not to – use AI.
AI technology is changing our lives faster than our brains and social structures can adapt, risking the loss of critical thinking, professional decision-making, and human connection. We believe the future should be decided by the people, not by tech capabilities and market forces alone.
By building the world’s first inventory of which tasks people choose to preserve for humans, and which tasks we can delegate to AI, Cimore builds a collective voice about where AI does and does not belong. We share these insights with the public, professional groups, policymakers, and responsible technology developers.
Technology inevitably advances. Our mission is to ensure that as AI advances, the public retains the power to deliberately choose where AI belongs, building a balanced, human-first future for us all.
What We Do
Our Three Programs
Public Interest Research and Insights
We design and execute research programs, including public surveys, structured interviews, focus groups, and polls, to capture societal perspectives on AI integration, and publish the resulting findings and general recommendations. Our flagship research is the Human Choice Survey.
Strategic Collaborations and Stakeholder Partnerships
We build working relationships with labor unions, professional and trade associations, academic and research institutions, and tech developers to advance human-centered, responsible use of AI.
Community Literacy and Engagement
We design and lead low-cost or free educational workshops, community meet-ups, expert panel discussions, and online communities focused on best practices for the responsible use of AI. See our upcoming events or join the Cimore Community.
