How Cimore Uses Your Donation

Our Three Programs

Program 1: Public Interest Research and Insights

We design and execute research programs, including public surveys, structured interviews, focus groups, and polls, to capture societal perspectives on AI integration, and publish the resulting findings and general recommendations.

This activity furthers Cimore’s educational and scientific purposes by:

  • Translating public attitudes, beliefs, and experiences regarding AI into accessible data
  • Closing the knowledge gap between everyday communities and tech developers
  • Distributing the resulting insights to the public, policymakers, and professional groups at no cost
  • Supporting the public interest rather than any private interest

Program 2: Strategic Collaborations and Stakeholder Partnerships

We build working relationships with labor unions, professional and trade associations, academic and research institutions, and tech developers to advance human-centered, responsible use of AI.

The work happens through Cimore’s leadership team, board members, and operational staff, through professional networks, industry conferences, and collaborative workshops, with some participation in international academic and industry conferences.

This advances Cimore’s mission by:

  • Equipping unions and professional groups with human-first AI frameworks to inform professional standards and best practices
  • Providing working communities with a list of AI’s potential human and social impacts
  • Educating tech developers on responsible deployment using Cimore’s public-interest research

Program 3: Community Literacy and Engagement

We design and lead low-cost or free educational workshops, community meet-ups, expert panel discussions, and online communities focused on best practices for the responsible use of AI.

These are conducted by staff educators and outside subject-matter experts, virtually and at community centers, libraries, and public venues.

This fulfills Cimore’s mission by:

  • Engaging the public in interactive discussions and workshops supporting the deliberate, balanced integration of AI-powered technology
  • Giving individuals the practical knowledge needed to make informed choices about AI in their own lives
